Our program will be "Organic Gardening: The Benefits and Challenges of the Natural Home Gardener"
presented by Melissa M. Murphy, Fulton County Ag and Natural Resources Agent.
Melissa is born and raised in Georgia and is a Double Dawg, having received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Entomology from UGA.
She has been with extension since 2016 and transitioned from an Agent position in Union and Towns Counties to Fulton County in 2018.
Melissa is proud of her reputation as a "Bug Lady" and loves to speak on insects and chance she gets, though she also regularly gives programming on organic gardening and farming, ornamental horticulture, and natural resources topics.
She lives in Decatur, GA with her husband and two cats, and will finally be applying much of what she teaches to a garden renovation at her newly-purchased home.
