Stormy Costas Garden

4

Whimsy, Art and Pollinators

Stroll down the curving driveway toward the shade garden, spotting whimsical birdhouses along the way. Pause to relax and observe birds and squirrels as they flit among the foliage—an inviting place to unwind and reflect.

Explore a collection of fifty varieties of Hostas, accented with hydrangeas, Solomon’s seal, and camellias. Artwork by the owners’ grandchildren and a recent sculpture add creative flair. Continue past the parking pad, and the front of the house, and cottage garden to view a PowerPoint presentation about bees and their vital role in the environment. Bees are kept on the grounds but remain a safe distance from visitor paths. Discover the propagation greenhouse, then cross the Japanese garden bridge to the vibrant cutting garden. Conclude the tour by golf cart ride or by retracing to your steps.
