It’s almost that time again! On April 3rd and 4th, Hall County Master Gardeners and vendors from Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina will gather, as they have for the past 23 years, for the 2026 Spring Garden Expo, offering native and non-native plants, gardening tools, outdoor decor, honey, and more. At $2 per ticket, the Expo will be open to the public at Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center on Friday 8:30-5:00 and Saturday 8:30-4:00. Attendees will have access to food trucks as they browse plants and garden products and will be eligible for door prizes. A list of this year's vendors can be found here.

Presentations, Expert Advice, and More
During the event, horticultural experts will present on gardening and landscaping topics. These sessions are free with admission to the Expo:
Friday, 11:00 am, Jody Karlin, Owner of Just Add Water, “Successful Soil Composition”
Friday, 1:00 pm, Susan Franklin, Autumn Hill Nursery, “All About Roses”
Saturday, 11:00 am, Tom Diggs Ph.D., Professor of Biology at University of North Georgia, “Georgia Native Plant Biodiversity: Undescribed and Undiscovered”
Saturday, 1:00 pm, Shane Fleeman, Owner of Fresh Harvest Farms, “Impact of Medicinal Mushrooms and Microgreens on Well-being”
Attendees can also get free expert advice at the ever-popular Ask a Master Gardener booth. This year’s Expo will feature the largest number of vendors in the event’s history. In addition to 45+ returning vendors, several new vendors have been added to the slate this year, including The Farm Connection, Gourmet Gardeners, and T&M Crafts. Although for the safety and comfort of our vendors and visitors, pets are NOT allowed at the Expo, registered service animals are welcome. Garden wagons will be available for shoppers on a first-come, first-served basis, but because numbers are limited, visitors may want to bring their own.

Hall County Master Gardeners in Action
Hall County Master Gardeners are dedicated to “Beautification through Education.” In service of that vision, Spring and Fall Expo require intense planning and effort from dedicated coordinators and over 2,000 hours of volunteer time. Hall County Agricultural Extension staff and Master Gardeners are passionate about providing expertise to gardeners so they can create beautiful spaces where they live. They believe that
gardening can improve quality of life for Hall County residents at large.
Through their efforts to produce high quality programming for the region, Hall County Master Gardeners forge life-long friendships. Master Gardeners Mindy Wade and Karin Hicks are coordinating this spring’s event. Wade says, “Working with Karin to help make Spring Expo happen has been a lot of fun and has deepened our mutual trust and respect. And Master Gardeners we’ve known for years show up regularly to help, along with new folks who are just getting started.” A shared passion for gardening and educating others about its benefits brings together people from all walks of life to form a supportive and thriving Master Gardeners community.
