Spring Expo

Every Spring we host our Spring Expo which features plant, tool, and craft good vendors from our the tri-state area. This is North Georgia's largest plant sale.

2023 Spring Expo

This is a must-attend event for all gardening enthusiasts. This expo offers a wide range of activities, including workshops, seminars, and demonstrations on various gardening techniques and practices. Attendees can also browse through a variety of vendors selling plants, seeds, tools, and other gardening supplies. With knowledgeable experts on hand to answer questions and provide guidance, the Spring Expo is the perfect opportunity to learn new skills and connect with fellow gardeners in the community.

“Let’s Build a Bee Hotel”, Barbara Jones, Hall County Master Gardener

Come learn about native bees and their benefits. We will then build a small bee hotel to take to your yard and invite them to stay.

“Propagation of Camellias and Beyond”, Jim Pruckler, 1st Vice President, North GA Camellia Society

Mr. Pruckler’s interests lie in the 3 P’s of Camellias – Propagation, Preservation and Pruning.  He will be speaking on all things Camellia. Come learn about propagating your camellias and how to take care of them.

“Straw Bale Gardening”, Connie Rosenthal, Straw Bale Gardener

A unique way to garden based on the experience of Joel Karsten, Author of Straw Bale Gardens. Out of space? Don’t want to build a raised bed and fill with dirt? Connie will be teaching us how to set up your own straw bales for growing just about anything.

“Roses: Easy to grow (I swear) and Other Fun Plant Facts”, Jim Mynes, Plant Pathologist

Roses have a reputation for being difficult to grow but are they really?  Discover the answer, as well as a host of interesting plant facts and information delivered in what will be a fun and entertaining presentation.
